Hi, I’m Brianna, MSW, Clinical Patient Coordinator
I believe that every person has a purpose and that with the right support, healing, and faith, we can overcome even the hardest challenges. My journey into social work has been guided not only by my education—earning my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Ferrum College and my Master’s degree in Social Work from Norfolk State University—but also by my faith in God, which inspires the way I serve others every day.
Over the years, I’ve been blessed to gain experience in a variety of settings, including community mental health, private practice, medical facilities, and government agencies such as the Hampton VA Medical Center and the Department of Justice. Each of these opportunities taught me something valuable about resilience, advocacy, and the importance of meeting people where they are.
In my current role as a Clinical Patient Coordinator, I am committed to making sure clients feel seen, supported, and cared for as they navigate the process of receiving services. I see coordination not just as scheduling or paperwork, but as an opportunity to connect people with the right resources, compassion, and encouragement they need to thrive.
Clinically, I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults, using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and practical goal setting. I also like to keep things relatable—whether through creativity, real-life strategies, or even lighthearted pop culture connections—to make therapy approachable and effective.
At the core of my work is my belief that God gives each of us the strength for our journey. My purpose is to walk alongside others with compassion, professionalism, and faith, helping them see that their story is not over and that hope and healing are always possible.
